The climax of January leaves all football fans glued to their screens in anticipation of frantic deadline day business, which is always a legitimate concern provided that the next transfer window opens only in the summer.
But if Jamie Redknapp’s opinion is held in high regard, such apprehensions should not concern Tottenham anymore.
The former Spurs player, on a Sky Sports show, proved how much Tottenham have improved as a big team by becoming “a proper club that’s run really well” and commended the way in which important players have been secured with long-term contracts.
While describing how each player perfectly fits into the talent-laden squad, Jamie insisted that Tottenham has acquired the much-needed depth now that makes it unnecessary to indulge in chaotic last-minute signings, apart from the need to cover positions in the squad which are prone to injuries.
