The moment Izzy Brown realized that he just shoved Pontus Jansson during the massive scuffle in Leeds v Huddersfield

Tensions always run over the roof every time Leeds face off against Huddersfield, but today’s fixture was a bit too extreme even for the famed Yorkshire derby.

As the game neared its climax, it appeared inevitable that the result would be a 1-1 draw, but a sensational 89th minute goal by Hefele won his side the game and placed Huddersfield above Leeds on the table.

The exhilaration was clearly too much to take for Huddersfield as the goal celebration erupted into absolute chaos when manager David Wagner had an altercation with his opposite Gary Monk, and the brawl that ensued saw a player from each side see yellow with both managers sent off.

What everybody missed out in the ugly spat, though, was the Leeds’ Izzy Brown’s hilarious reaction after realizing that he’d just shoved Pontus Jansson, a 6’ 4” giant who simply must not be messed with!

  1. Christopher Schindler is more of a sweeper style defender who reads the game well and largely goes unnoticed. Where as Pontus Jansson is more in your face and therefore gets noticed with his physical presence. They are equally effective at what they do best.
