Chelsea’s 3-1 win over Arsenal solidified their chances of winning the Premier League again this season. Whilst last season was a major disappointment all around, the club are well on course of righting the wrongs of last season and in Antonio Conte, they have a manager who is more than capable of doing just that.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the world in the United States of America, the New England Patriots just won the Super Bowl, defeating the Atlanta Falcons in the mega sporting event. At a glance, the fact that Chelsea are closing in on a Premier League title has no real connection to the Patriots’ victory in the Super Bowl.
However, a rather interesting stat recently made the rounds on social media. This year’s Super Bowl victory was the third time the Patriots won it over the past 12 years. Amazingly, the previous two times they won it, in 2005 and 2015, Chelsea also went on to be crowned Champions of England.
The previous two times the Patriots won the Super Bowl, Chelsea won the Premier League that year. #science
