Tottenham are finally looking like a serious threat to the bigger clubs in the Premier League. The long-term project of Mauricio Pochettino is finally beginning to pay dividends and the North London side are currently sitting in 2nd position in the Premier League standings, ahead of clubs like Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal.
A lot of this has to do with the team-work and cohesion that Pochettino has brought in to the side. He has finally found a system that brings out the best of all his star players. And perhaps most importantly, he has a fully-fit Mousa Dembele to run the game at their pace in the heart of the midfield.
The Belgian has always been a tad bit underrated, but on his day he is absolutely unplayable. He proved this once again with some sublime skill during Spurs’ 1-0 win over Middlesbrough. Collecting the ball in midfield, he pulled off a reverse step-over on a bouncing ball before making a pass.
