The Chinese Super League has quickly risen to become a new alternative for players who don’t want the rigours of European football. Providing plenty of cash for a relatively easy gig, it is a sweet job for those who can take it. One of the players who decided to try his luck there is former Chelsea attacker Oscar.
The Brazilian was viewed as a can’t-miss prospect by many yet his career in Chelsea never quite took off to the heights that many expected it to. As a result, when he chose to accept a move to the Chinese Super League, very few tears were shed by the Blues faithful. That being said, he seems to be having some fun in the East.
During a recent game for new club Shanghai SIPG, Oscar was taking on some opposition players on the right wing. Indeed, his bursts of pace and rapid changes of direction were fooling not only the opposition but also the linesman as well; unable to keep pace with the attacker, he promptly slipped and fell.
