Message board shows there’s a depressed Arsenal fan at work on Transport for London

When Arsenal drew Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League round of 16, the general feeling amongst Gooners was one of cynicism. Having drawn and being knocked out by the Bavarian giants in previous years, there was little hope of things changing this time around.

As it turns out, the fans were right to be cynical because a 5-1 thrashing in the first leg of the competition has left the London side with a near impossible deficit to overcome should they want to make it to the next round. And whilst many expected it, the result has hit Arsenal fans hard.

The grief found an unexpected outlet lately: the message board of the Transport for London. The “thought for the day”, which normally features something that can either motivate or provoke some introspection, instead featured a hilarious yet somewhat true message on it, seemingly written by a depressed Arsenal fan.
