When Tottenham last faced off against Fulham at Craven Cottage during an FA Cup game in 2011, Mousa Dembele not only played for Fulham, but even scored with a stunning solo effort in his side’s 4-0 victory.
Six years down the line, the 29 year-old made a nostalgic return to his former club during the FA Cup’s fifth round encounter yesterday, albeit in a Tottenham shirt this time.
Mauricio Pochettino’s boys placed themselves on a firm footing following their 3-0 victory over the Cottagers, thanks to a brilliant Harry Kane hat-trick.
Although Dembele before the game stressed on the importance of this win, the Belgian also did not fail to respect his obligations towards his former club where he played two happy seasons before.
And during the game, in a lovely gesture, the Belgian stopped his warm up to take a selfie with a Fulham fan. The moment captured by @JackToulson12 on Twitter, check out the picture below –
