Manchester United’s win against Blackburn Rovers last evening wasn’t really a proverbial walk in the park.
Mourinho’s men struggled initially and conceded first to a Danny Graham goal in the 17th minute, but United managed to equalize the score with Marcus Rashford’s strike ten minutes later, and super substitute Zlatan Ibrahimovic sealed the win for his side in the 75th minute.
While the early goal was an impressive achievement for the struggling home side, first-half performance was a big point of concern for the visitors.
And although Michael Carrick was handed the captain’s arm band, it was midfielder Ander Herrera who stepped up to the role of leadership, showing strong indications of a potential future as Manchester United’s captain.
Giving a pep talk to team-mates in the tunnels during the break just before the second half, Herrera can be heard saying, “Come on! It’s going to be difficult… 45 minutes. Come on!”
The moment comes around 4 min 18 second mark in the video below!
