Since Jurgen Klopp took over as Liverpool boss in 2015, the manager has always advocated for merging the club’s first team and youth academy training facilities.
It seems that the plan is now taking fruition, as Liverpool are reported to abandon Melwood and invest £50 million to expand their Kirkby academy and accommodate the first team there.
Melwood has been the training ground for Liverpool’s first team since the 1950s and was transformed by club legend Bill Shankly himself.
While a move like this has been planned in the interest of the club and in an ideal world there would be not be anyone opposing the idea.
But as seen in the picture (via @TheLFCTicketMen) below, someone took the time out of their busy schedule to protest against the move and held a badly spelled placard outside Melwood.
