Celtic Football Club will celebrate their 130th year of existence this year. With accolades of 47 domestic titles, 36 Scottish Cup trophies, and one Europa League and Champions League title each, Celtic is undoubtedly one of the biggest football clubs in Europe.
With such a glorious history, it is only right for the Hoops to have to their name an arena that befits the club’s stature. Scotland’s largest football stadium Celtic Park is now all set to be complimented with a major makeover.
Celtic has submitted an application to Glasgow City Council with a proposal to construct a new hotel, a massive retail store, ticketing facility and club museum.
The masterplan of the expansion project, the club stated, is only the first stage of the process and its aim is to be a huge positive step for the club and its supporters.
