Crystal Palace fans cause £40k worth of damage by defacing their own coach after Middlesbrough game yesterday

Crystal Palace’s 1-0 win over Middlesbrough yesterday was absolutely crucial as the Sam Allardyce lead side managed to pull themselves out of Premier League’s relegation zone.

Patrick van Aanholt scored his first goal for Crystal Palace since joining the club in January and what a result it turned out to be for his side.
Manager Sam Allardyce rightly described the game as the “biggest win of the season” but it was the mood amongst home fans that reeked of optimism.

Place supporters during stoppage time burst out singing, “Don’t worry about a thing, because every little thing will be alright,” without realising that scenes after the game would depict exactly the opposite.

Some jubilant Crystal Palace fans cost their club at least £40,000 by vandalizing a coach that they believed belonged to Middlesbrough when, in fact, it was owned by Palace!
