Manchester United were denied a chance to jump into the top four after a 1-1 draw to Bournemouth at Old Trafford today. Defender Marcos Rojo scored a rare goal for his side, only to see it being cancelled out by Joshua King’s penalty in the first half.
And then there was chaos. Bournemouth’s Tyrone Mings appeared to stamp on Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s head, and the Swede retaliated shortly by elbowing the defender during a United corner.
While Ibrahimovic managed to escape a booking for his hit, an unlucky Bournemouth were reduced to ten men after Andrew Surman was shown a second yellow for pushing Zlatan during the melee that followed.
The game turned even more eventful for Zlatan in the second half, as the talismanic striker shockingly missed a penalty in the 72nd minute.
