Harry Kane overtook Romelu Lukaku in a thrilling contest for deciding Premier League’s top-scorer after Tottenham defeated Everton 3-2 at White Hart Lane today.
Kane took his tally to a total of 19 this season with a stunning strike in the 20th minute and then added another just after the second half, while Lukaku could only manage one for Everton ten minutes before the final whistle.
The game was still not over, though, as another Tottenham star Dele Alli scored his team’s third goal in the 91st minute, just to see Everton pull back another through Valencia a minute later.
The Alli-Kane partnership seemed to do wonders for Tottenham and that perhaps became clear with the bizarre handshake celebration the duo shared after Harry Kane’s goal.
But while that grabbed eyeballs, what looked more majestic was Alli celebrating his own goal with UFC superstar Conor McGregor’s ‘swag walk’ followed by WWE champion John Cena’s ‘you can’t see me’ gesture.
