Despite form being against them in the run-up to their game against Arsenal, Liverpool managed to pull off a convincing 3-1 win over their fellow top 4 rivals. Whilst the win reignited Liverpool’s good form, it put a massive dent in any title hopes that Arsenal may have had before the game.
The game was won by Klopp’s men mainly because Liverpool had a clear game plan whilst Arsenal committed the same old mistakes they always tend to do in crunch clashes like this.
Nevertheless, there was a moment of utter brilliance in the build up to the third goal scored by the Reds on the night.
Adam Lallana, who has been reinvigorated in a central midfield role, controlled the ball magnificently before playing an absolutely beautiful pass in the build up to Wijnaldum’s goal that sealed the three points.
The pass was good enough to send Twitter into overdrive, as netizens were gushing with praise about it. See some of the best tweets on the subject below:
"Lallana. Quality." In two words, when Lallana was far from a Liverpool regular in Mar 2016, Xavi nailed it. I'm sold. So is @FourFourTwoEd

Absolutely 10/10 by Lallana in the build up, saw Origi was offside, stalled the attack, made a turn, then delivered the right pass.

Adam Lallana made that goal. No disrespect to Origi for the cross or Gini for scoring but that was all Lallana.

I still can't get over Lallana's touch, turn and pass for Gini's goal las night.
I wasn't his big fan last season by a stretch.

Lallana was class tonight, come along way since he first joined LFC, so much composure for gini's goal!

Man, Lallana is one smooth man. The setup for the goal was unreal, good finish by Gini and great cross by Origi
