Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola was named Premier League’s manager of the month for February with a cent percent win record to his side’s name.
Guardiola’s men could play only three Premier League games last month due to their FA Cup and Champions League commitments, but helped their manager receive the monthly award by winning all their three games.
Man City beat West Ham, Swansea and Bournemouth to find themselves third on the table, just 10 points behind leaders Chelsea and below Tottenham on goal difference with 11 games still remaining.
Chelsea’s Antonio Conte, Manchester United’s Jose Mourinho, and West Brom’s Tony Pulis were also in the fray to win the award with brilliant performances.
This is the first time Guardiola has won this award since his move to England, and when asked about it during a press conference before City’s FA Cup encounter against Middlesbrough, the Spaniard expressed admiration for Chelsea boss Antonio Conte’s success.
