Leeds United achieves impressive Championship milestone after QPR draw

He’s Robert Green, He’ll keep it Clean

Most England fans will remember Robert Green as the man who let the ball slip right through his legs against the USA at the World Cup in 2010. Now, however, Green is in the spotlight once more but for all the right reasons.

The Leeds United custodian played in his 600th League Appearance as the Yorkshire club battled to a 0-0 draw against Queens Park Rangers in the SkyBet EFL Championship.

Significantly, the stalemate also meant that have now kept 10 clean sheets at home this season – the first time they have managed that feat during their tenure in the Championship.

Leeds are currently 4th in the table on the back of one of the best defensive records in the League, and while they trail leaders Newcastle United by 11 points, they are still in with a great chance to make the Promotional Play-Offs.

Besides the tight defence, much of the credit goes to their experienced keeper, whose performances might just bring Elland Road back to the Premier League next season.
