Things were always expected to be tense during Tottenham’s FA Cup tie with Millwall at White Hart Lane today, but nobody would have imagined them get this bad.
Clashes between fans had begun violently even before the game began, forcing the police to use riot control gear and make arrests outside the stadium.
The game itself took an ugly turn when a section of Millwall supporters subjected Tottenham striker Heung-min Son to horrific racial abuse during the quarter-final encounter.
The South Korean star was targeted with a series racist chants, which included “DVD” and “he’s selling three for a fiver” by some travelling fans.
But while Millwall could face sanctions for the disgusting behaviour of their fans, the 24 year old striker responded with a sensational hat trick that was enough to shut down the away end of the stadium.
Check out some of the best reactions of Tottenham fans to Son’s response to the racial slurs –

Millwall boo'd Son since kick off and aimed racist chants at him. He scores a hattrick and takes home the match ball. I love football.

Maybe the racist Millwall fans would like a DVD of Son's two superb goals. Hope abuse punished properly

What better way to deal with racism than sticking the ball in the top corner. Well played Son!

Son being the absolute boy, again. Deserved his hat-trick and what a way to silent the racism from Milwall's fans. 👏🏻

Don't care what league they're in – delighted that we demolished that lot. Fair to say Heung-Min Son replied well to their racist chants.
