When you’re managing at the very top, you need to learn to adapt. Jose Mourinho is one of the best in the business – he seems to have settled into his role as Manchester United manager fully, and he wasn’t shy of letting the Chelsea fans know.
Mourinho’s United lost a hard-fought FA Cup Quarter final tie at Stamford Bridge to a solitary goal by N’golo Kante. The away side were handicapped after Ander Herrera was sent off with 10 minutes to go in the first half and Mourinho was less than happy on the sidelines, engaging in a spat with counterpart Antonio Conte.
This led home fans to goad their former manager with chants of ‘Judas’ which the Portuguese calmly responded to by raising three fingers – one for each of the Premier League Titles he won with Chelsea.
The chants continued after the game, which led Mourinho to respond by tapping the crest of his current club on his tracksuit – a gesture which endeared him to the away fans for sure.
Chelsea fans may have turned their backs on Mourinho, but his new supporters welcome his fighting spirit with open arms.
