Everton star Romelu Lukaku’s agent had previously gone on record to state that the Belgian international’s decision to sign a new lucrative deal with the club was “99.99%” confirmed, but it seems that the 0.1% chance has triumphed after all.
In an extraordinary turn of events, Lukaku informed Everton after a routine training session that he won’t be signing a new deal which could have seen him become the club’s first player to draw wages of £100,000 a week.
Meanwhile, a few hundred miles to the east at Manchester, one player who does seem to be connected with a big money signing is Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The Swede’s year-long contract with United expires in the summer, and rumours are running rife with suggestions that Zlatan might end up making a huge move to MLS side LA Galaxy.
Putting two and two together, this is turning out to be much more than a coincidence for many fans who believe that Lukaku could wreck absolute havoc as Zlatan’s replacement at Old Trafford.

Lukaku looks to be on his way out of Everton. I would have him here. Big, strong, quick, good finisher & we can't keep relying on Zlatan

mind you, Raiola has a standing arrangement at Old Trafford. Lukaku could end up there with Zlatan possibly MLS-bound.

Wouldn't be surprised if Zlatan leaves United and Lukaku comes in with Raiola making a decent wedge on both deals.

If Zlatan is going then Lukaku could well be needed.
Not the same class but the focal point that José likes.

Lukaku not signing his Everton contract means that Zlatan will probably be going to America next season unfortunately.

Lukaku would be the perfect replacement for Zlatan. Pace, power and most importantly, goals.
