The fight for supremacy amongst the top clubs on the Premier League table could turn into a full-blown war between Manchester City and Liverpool on Sunday.
The Reds will travel to Manchester knowing fully well that a victory will place them not only above their rivals but possibly above even Tottenham on the second spot.
Manchester City, on the other hand, will be hoping to win despite another game yet to play, as Liverpool are currently breathing down their necks by trailing with just one point.
While Jurgen Klopp’s side will have to play without the services of Jordan Henderson and Daniel Sturridge, the manager can count on Roberto Firmino again.
The Brazilian missed last week’s 2-1 win over Burnley after picking up an injury during Liverpool’s big 3-1 mauling of Arsenal earlier this month, but was back in training with hopes of playing against Pep Guardiola’s side.
