Milliyet newspaper claims Galatasaray have reportedly agreed €2.5m fee with Liverpool for Lucas Leiva

If the reports in Turkish media is to be believed, it seems that Lucas Leiva’s Anfield career is coming to an end.

Turkey’s most visited news site Milliyet are claiming that Liverpool have already agreed a fee in the region of €2.5m for the Brazilian. This agreement with Galatasaray will see him join the Turkish giants at the end of the season.

This is the 10th season with Liverpool for the Brazilian and needless to say Anfield faithfuls would be expecting a testimonial for one of their favorites if the reports are true.

A midfield destroyer by nature, Lucas has accumulated 334 appearances for Liverpool. The Brazilian has scored seven goals for the Reds, which includes a goal in the FA Cup against Plymouth back in January. It was his first goal in six years which put Liverpool into the fourth round.

Galatasaray almost acquired the services of the Brazilian during the last summer transfer window but the talks broke down after Jurgen Klopp felt that he needed the midfielder for another season.
