Don’t give up your day job lads – Newcastle players have a hard time reading questions for a quiz (Video)

It’s been a stellar season for Newcastle United in the second division of English football. Currently sitting atop the table of the Championship, the Toon are primed to win the tournament and make the jump back to the Premier League, a place that their fans feel they truly belong to.

In an effort to give back to the fans, the club recently sent some players to read questions for a quiz hosted by Gallowgate Flags, a Newcastle fan club run exclusively by the fans, which is a good way to get in touch with fans. However, what should have been a regular task turned into a massive comedy of errors.

A number of Newcastle players, including the likes of Paul Dummett, Sammy Ameobi and Achraf Lazaar struggled to pronounce the names of the teams, players and even the show itself in Lazaar’s case. Still, the event did provide a nice way for fans to see their idols in a more light hearted setting.
