“Voila, for now I’m here”
Eden Hazard is in no mood to take shenanigans from anyone, it appears.
The Chelsea winger was interviewed alongside compatriot Christian Benteke pitch-side at Stamford Bridge and the intrepid French journalist naturally asked the question which is on everyone’s mind regarding Hazard.
When quizzed about his future, ex-Lille man quite professionally and calmly responded that he is focused on playing as much as he can and taking it game by game. You can sense what is around the corner through Benteke’s mischievous chuckling which becomes a full-blown guffaw as the reporter naturally follows up with “Do you fancy going to Spain?”
With a wry smile, Hazard responds with a passive-aggressive query of his own before reiterating that he has a contract till 2020; though he does say he is at Chelsea “for now” – keeping the door open perhaps?
Hazard would probably not be as jovial as he was in the interview after Benteke’s Crystal Palace side pulled off an upset 2-1 victory, though Chelsea fans will be hoping he’s kept in a good mood during the upcoming transfer window.
