(Video) Didn’t score but Dele Alli made sure to get his nutmeg count rolling while assisting Tottenham’s 2nd goal v Burnley

With Chelsea slipping to a shock 1-2 defeat at the hands of Crystal Palace, the time was ripe for Tottenham to step up and provide some sort of challenge in the title race. That is exactly what they did and the London rivals are now separated by only seven points with nine games still left to go.

To give Burnley credit, they gave the match all they got and even managed to stifle Spurs for a long time. However, Mauricio Pochettino’s men managed to get the breakthrough and there was no stopping them after that, showing the kind of character that title challengers are made of.

Whilst Heung-min Son was the star of the show, Dele Alli also notched up another assist. He might have failed to score but his assist was a spectacular one; putting in a fizzed ball across the penalty area, the midfielder actually managed to nutmeg a defender with his pass before it reached Son.
