It’s official. Celtic are again the best club in Scotland!
A 5-0 thrashing of Hearts on Saturday won the Hoops their sixth consecutive Scottish Premiership title, despite eight league games still left to play.
Apart from securing the title, it is the way they did that that has been a monumental feat for the club. Out of the 30 games played this season, Celtic won 28 of them and 2 resulted in draws.
Not only that, Celtic could well go on to win the domestic treble as well, and stage a repeat of their historic 2000-01 season yet again.
It would be inevitable to give a major chunk of credit to Brendan Rodgers for this. The manager has added to his list of achievements a feat not many of his predecessors at the club can boast of.
And the celebrations of the title were seen not only in Glasgow, but were wildly roused up in Rodgers’ home town as well.
