When Henrikh Mkhitaryan was announced as a Manchester United player, there was palpable excitement amongst the Old Trafford faithful. Mkhitaryan had been one of Dortmund’s best players during his time there and was surely going to be a key part of Jose Mourinho’s new-look Manchester United.
However, he barely featured during the first few months. In fact, there were times when he wasn’t even on the bench despite being fully fit.
When he finally did settle into a groove, he managed to remind everyone why he was so highly regarded in the Bundesliga with his work-rate and output.
However, this is just the start, according to the man himself. Having already notched up seven goals and five assists this season, the Armenian international recently made a few admissions to the Manchester United official programme that certainly bode well for both him and the team next season.

I still have places where I can improve and have room to improve. I know myself very well and I am sure that I can do better, and I will do better, because I am confident. As I know very well within myself that I can do more.
I want to say that, for next year, I am going to have more goals and more assists.
