West Ham’s season so far hasn’t exactly worked out as good as they would have hoped for and the lack of consistency in the results has led to a sense of unease around the club recently. Thus, a good performance and result against Swansea was absolutely necessary.
And that’s exactly what they got: a hard-fought 1-0 win over a side that could potentially be facing relegation. However, the win clearly meant a lot to the West Ham players, as was evident by what James Collins did after the game.
Climbing over the ad boards and going to meet the fans, he handed over his jersey to a member in the crowd and then walked away, pumping his fists as the fans cheered him on.
