The Champions League quarterfinal tie between Arsenal and Bayern Munich turned out to be one of the most one-sided ties in recent history with the German champions inflicting a crushing 10-2 aggregate defeat on Arsenal.
The defeat inevitably saw talks of Arsene Wenger’s exit intensify amid reports of several bust-ups within the team. One player that particularly bore the brunt of the defeat from fans and media alike was Mesut Ozil and in all fairness, the German did make little contribution to the Arsenal cause.
Wenger as always was quick to deny reports of any rifts within the team but if recent reports emerging from a podcast are anything to be believed, the contrary may be true as per claims from a podcast of ‘The Tuesday Club’.
The podcast claims of a bust up in the dressing room where Arsenal assistant manager Steve Bould even went to the extent of throwing a bottle at Ozil in the dressing room following the embarrassing defeat at the Allianz Arena.
