Often being seen as ‘small’ team in terms of the stature of their players, Liverpool’s 1-0 win over West Brom showed that stature mattered little as they came away with a hard fought victory from The Hawthorns on Saturday.
The all important goal for Liverpool came in the second half when Roberto Firmino scored a header from a Lucas Leiva flick to give Liverpool all three points against the baggies. An analysis of the goal from News outlet Times clearly shows Liverpool’s ‘small’ players out-jumping their bigger taller Baggies opponents in the build up to the decisive goal on Saturday.
As seen from the graphic, while Lucas Leiva and Roberto Firmino pales in comparison to the West Brom defenders in terms of their height, it stood for nothing as the duo combined beautifully to prod past Ben Foster for the goal.
