Hull City’s chances of Premier League survival were given a massive boost this weekend with a 2-0 win over a Watford side that are relatively safe from the relegation drama.
Hull’s valuable three points was made even better by the fact that they got this result despite playing the majority of the game with ten men.
With both sides cancelling each other out in the first half, both of Hull’s goals came in the second half. It was Sam Clucas who ensured that all three points went their way, but the opening goal was an absolute thing of beauty and had many people buzzing due to its stunning nature.
With the Tigers having won back possession in their own half, they started a counter attacking move that saw them move the ball to the opposition’s penalty area in seconds.
The move was finished by Liverpool loanee Lazar Markovic, whose initial shot looked like it hadn’t crossed the line but was eventually given.
