Pics: Rangers fans display NSFW banners in Glasgow ahead of the Scottish Cup semi final v Celtic

While the Old Firm derby admittedly comes across as one of the most anticipated ties in Scottish football, the prospect of the two giants battling it up for a place in the final of the Scottish Cup certainly makes Sunday’s tie all the more exhilarating.

The Glasgow based sides meet at the Hampden ground in what promises to be a bloodbath of a match with Rangers looking to foil Celtic’s quest for a domestic treble this season.

With tensions understandably high between the two sides already, the recent developments involving some banners put up by Gers fans added to the insecurity ahead of the match.

A banner involving a NSFW comment on recently deceased politician Martin McGuinness along with another extending solidarity for Rangers was seen on the bridge across the M8 in Easterhouse.
