Having dropped out of the top six, Leeds United saw their promotion hopes all but fade away as they fell to a shock 2-1 defeat away at Burton Albion on Saturday.
The result saw Burton all but secure Championship status for another season while inflicting another severe blow on an under par Leeds United who have now lost four in their last six games.
The match could have been an altogether different story had Chris Wood’s header in the 10th minute stood for goal. Yet in what came as a bizarre referring decision, referee Darren Bond disallowed the goal for no apparent reason prompting some furious reactions from the Leeds players and fans alike.
One look at the goal below and the frustrations of the Leeds faithful are more than justified with the header being a perfectly valid goal. Check out the reactions from the Leeds fans here –

Can someone tell me why Wood's goal was disallowed yesterday? I see absolutely nothing wrong with it. #LUFC
