While David Howells will probably not come across as one of the most celebrated players to don the white kit of Tottenham Hotspur, he did finally manage to truly endear himself to the Spurs faithful 14 years after having left the club.
The former Spurs midfielder was on Sunday spotted in a pub celebration of Spurs’ historic triumph over their fierce rivals Arsenal.
Howells who played as a defensive midfielder for Spurs from 1984 to 1998 was spotted joining a banter in a pub post the win over Arsenal.
Sundays 2-0 triumph gave Spurs an unassailable lead over Arsenal which will see The Whites finish above Arsenal for the first time in 20 years.
Despite Spurs still in contention for the Premier League title, the historic feat no doubt called for unprecedented celebrations around Tottenham and Howells was more than happy to indulge in the celebrations as evidenced from the video footage below.
While often being overshadowed by his more glitzier teammates during his time at Tottenham, Howells’ long standing allegiance to Tottenham will surely make him a popular figure among Spurs fans now.
