Failure to make it to the Championship play-offs is inevitably going to lead to sweeping changes at Leeds United, including the sacking of manager Garry Monk at the end of the season, but some good news also seems to be on the anvil for fans.
Popular Spanish newspaper Sport reported on Saturday that the Peacocks might be very close to signing Barcelona-based outfit U.D. Unificación Bellvitge’s striker Adrian Balboa.
Described as a “sensation” by Sport, Balboa is said to have outclassed virtually every player in his age category in the lower levels of Spanish football.
Garry Monk’s long-time assistant Pep Clotet is said to be pushing for the transfer, which seems almost fixed now, provided that the player is all set to get a chance to play in a friendly for the club’s youth team.
