With the nearing of the summer transfer window, speculations of big players moving to other clubs are running wild, and the latest name to jump the bandwagon is that of Real Madrid’s James Rodriguez.
The Colombian has been pushed down the pecking order by Madrid team-mates Isco and Marco Asensio following an underwhelming campaign that has not impressed manager Zinedine Zidane much this season.
Recent reports from Spanish media outlets suggested United have offered a deal in the ballpark of £70 million in return for the midfielder.
Such rumors only get strengthened from the fact that the player’s agent, Jorge Mendes, also represents United manager Jose Mourinho.
And adding fuel to the fire of speculations, a popular Colombian radio station, RCN Radio, stated that James has already agreed “in principle” to make a move to Old Trafford this summer.
The news was revealed by the director of “En La Jugada”, a programme on RCN Radio.
However, the report also mentions that the move will only take place if Wayne Rooney leaves.
