Celtic extended their unbeaten run in the Scottish Premiership to 36 games as they brushed aside Aberdeen 3-1 at the Pittrodrie Stadium on Friday.
Three goals in a space of the opening 11 minutes were enough to see Celtic secure another three points despite a spirited performance from the home team in the second half. The result saw Celtic reach a century of points scored this season.
Apart from putting in another winning performance for their fans, the Celtic squad had another very special way to acknowledge the 2000 strong support who had made the trip on the chilling night.
With the final whistle blown, Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers instructed all of his players to give away their match-day shirts to the Celtic fans.
While the win would have been more than enough to woo the Celtic support, the class gesture from the team will have certainly done no harm to the ever-burgeoning bonding between the team and the fans.
