Newcastle United manager Rafa Benitez was spotted in attendance for the annual ‘Run for the 96’ event in Liverpool today.
Having just recently guided Newcastle to the Championship title this season, Benitez showed up at the annual charity run to commemorate and help those affected by the Hillsborough disaster in 1989.
Benitez who spent six years at Liverpool still remains a popular figure among the Anfield faithful having famously led an unfancied Liverpool team to Champions League glory in 2005.
The former Reds manager who has been a long time supporter of the Hillsborough ‘s families fight for justice showed his support once more and was more than happy to pose with fans at the event, who clearly couldn’t get enough of the Spaniard.
