Not too long ago Daniel Sturridge made himself noticed as one of the most talented striker the world had seen when he along with Luis Suarez almost pushed Liverpool towards the title.
But a lot has changed since then. After his long-term injury woes drastically reduced the club’s dependence on him.
Sturridge ended up making just 11 appearances for Liverpool this season, which has in turn flamed the rumors of his exit from the club come the 2017/18 season.
While he still has two years left on his contract, the player made public his intention to remain at the club, and Liverpool fans, undoubtedly, want the same, albeit minus the injuries.
After playing in Liverpool’s last game of the season against Middlesbrough, fans at Anfield’s iconic Kop End appreciated the player and chanted his name during the end of the season lap of honour.
Whether he leaves or goes, this heart-warming moment with the fans shows despite the frustration with his fitness, the striker is one of the best players to have donned the Red shirt–
