It’s safe to say that the reactions have been mixed after Andrea Radrizzani chose to appoint former Spanish striker Thomas Christiansen as the new manager of Leeds United.
Considering the hype and pressure of fans which automatically comes after taking over the role of manager at English clubs, the candidate needs to have thick skin to sustain the pressure.
And the new Leeds boss has shown the initial signs of possessing the same qualities after embracing an offensive comment made against his selection for the role.
The comment terms him as a fairly ‘unknown manager’ and has criticized the club’s policy to go for low-profile coaches. However, the new manager liked the comment of the fan, giving an indication that he will not be deterred by criticism and would face it head on.
The former player had a successful coaching stint with Cyprus side APOEL Nicosia and new owner Radeizzani must be expecting same results at the club where he takes over Garry Monk’s role.
