The very decision of Tottenham’s management to sign Georges-Kevin NKoudou from Marseille last year had left most fans divided on his utility to the club.
The winger’s inability to fit into the English game left him with just 49 minutes of playing time in the Premier League last season and made fans question the £11 million price tag he came with.
That aside, cordial fans would have still embraced the player, had he not committed the ultimate sin: being pictured with a fan in a Chelsea shirt.
Of course the incident did not fare well with angry Tottenham fans, who blasted their player from all fronts. One such French fan absolutely lost it when Nkoudou tried to justify his move by claiming that the shirt was a gift from friend Michy Batshuayi and that he didn’t know it would be such a big deal.
“You didn’t know? Unless you live in a cave!” replied the enraged fan after the Tottenham man revealed he did not know the rivalry with Chelsea.
