Flags and Glastonbury is a well-documented story. The annual contemporary arts festival has witnessed numerous and myriad flag over the recent times, with each one having an untold reason behind it.
The 2017 edition of the Glastonbury festival was just as successful as in its previous years, and today draws to a close after four days of mirth and merriment. But this year, the flag-bearing contingent comprised a pair of Leeds United official flags, igniting a sense of pride in the Leeds camp.
Whilst most of the flags seen in the festival are contemporary and pertaining to arts, football flags are a rarity. However, it seems certain section of the the Peacocks’ fan club brought along the flags for the festival this time, which has become an headline grabbing moment for the city and its football club.
The Championship outfit missed the play-off spot by a stone’s throw last season, having finished 7th in the final standings, but the fans remain unperturbed as they continue to show their tacit support. And this time on a new platform.
