Pic: Liverpool fans trolling their Everton counterparts after noticing this during Wayne Rooney’s unveiling

Wayne Rooney completed an emotional return to his boyhood club Everton as the Manchester United legend departed Old Trafford after 13 glorious years.

Having signed a two year deal with the Toffees, Rooney was recently unveiled as an official Everton player yesterday. And as is tradition, crosstown rivals had to somehow make the occasion to take a dig at their neighbors.

And that’s exactly what they did after the official Twitter account of award winning Liverpool based podcast The Anfield Wrap noticed something in one of the official pictures used to unveil Rooney.

Whilst standing on the stairway in Goodison Park’s backroom posing for the camera, the Kopites noticed one of the portraits on the background wall was commemorating them finishing fifth.

As expected, the jibe hasn’t gone down well with the Everton fans as it has triggered an online war between the two set of fans.
