Liverpool have been in the transfer market to find a replacement for Luis Suarez since 2014, but haven’t found any solid success in the quest to fill the Suarez shaped void in the team.
The signings of Ings, Lambert, Balotelli and Benteke seemed good enough on paper, but in reality, none of these players came close to Suarez’s calibre. Although, Daniel Sturridge has shown glimpses of the massive potential he carries, long standing injury problems have been obstructing his progress.
Klopp addressed the team’s striker woes by signing the U20 World Cup Golden ball winner Dominic Solanke this transfer window, and the new boy has produced excellent performances one after the other in the pre-season fixtures, impressing many supporters in the process.
The 19-year-old is still settling to life in Merseyside, and the Reds’ supporters have displayed their affection for their new player in an absolute genius way – by coming up with a hilarious chant for the ex-Chelsea man, and he is absolutely loving it.
It’s safe to say that whoever made this chant is quite intelligent and witty, as it has been improvised along the lines of the famous Rihanna song ‘Disturbia’. Solanke was quite impressed himself, as he retweeted the video from his official Twitter account.
The fans will hope that the young man performs well up front this season, so that Anfield can echo with the Dominic Solanke chant very often.
