Rangers lost their season opener 2-3 at the hands of Hibernian on Saturday. Despite enjoying a brilliant start with an early goal, the home side were helpless when their opponents leveled with neat finishes almost in quick succession soon thereafter.
Things heated up and an ill-tempered encounter ensued when Rangers’ Ryan Jack was sent off in the 36th minute. But that was only the beginning.
When Alfredo Morelos put Rangers ahead again, Hibernian boss Neil Lennon turned towards the home supporters and made some provocative gestures that angered Pedro Caixinha and his team greatly.
Not content with that, the former Celtic manger provoked reactions yet again by celebrating his side’s winning goal with elated punches in the air.
Not a surprising act from someone who was recorded saying “Celtic was a huge part of my life and still is” during a recent interview.
