Not many teams would put a bet on a 35-year-old to be their main striker in the Premier League, but for Sweden’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the normal rules of ageing don’t apply. The 6’5″ man is just like fine wine, he gets better with age.
It’s safe to say that United’s cheeky punt on Zlatan last season thoroughly paid off as the big Swede managed to score 17 league goals in 28 games, but sadly, the stint came to an abrupt end when the ex-PSG man suffered a severe ACL injury in April. United initially signed Zlatan on a 1 year contract, and had to part ways with him because of the injury.
But it looks like Zlatan will be on his way back to Old Trafford after it was discovered that his jersey was available for sale on Adidas’ official US website.
It seems like the Swedish star will get the no. 10 jersey, which has been vacant since Rooney’s departure to Everton. Ibra wore the no.9 jersey last season, but it has been taken up by Lukaku this time.
