The West Yorkshire rivalry between Leeds United and Huddersfield Town is one of the oldest rivalries in the UK.

But it seems there will be a hiatus to the famous derby, with Huddersfield earning a promotion to the Premier League this season.

And if having their cross-county rival compete in the top division wasn’t frustrating enough for the Leeds fans, Huddersfield Town also managed to secure a move for their first-team goalkeeper Rob Green.

Surely David Wagner’s recent comments, referring to Leeds as “the other club near Huddersfield” doesn’t ease up the tension either.

When asked about the new keeper settling in the team, the Huddersfield manager didn’t miss the opportunity to take a dig at their rival.

    1. Go to Uddersfield on a Saturday and it’s empty cos they are all shopping in Leeds, cos that other place near Leeds is a dump and the real reason Rob Green won’t be moving there and that’s why none of the team live there.
