Pic: Artist seems to have gone a long way to get this detail right on the new Leeds mural

After undergoing a major transformation this season, Leeds United fans have further added to the wholesale changes at Elland Road albeit in a very creative and heart-warming way.

An art mural sponsored by the fans through the Leeds United Supporters’ Trust is finally on the verge of completion and it sure does look a total masterpiece.

The mural which commemorates the club’s first division title win in the 1991-1992 season depicts the club’s midfield quartet of Gary Speed, David Batty, Gary McAllister and Gordon Strachan at one of the walls of the Low Fields Way Underpass. The midfield quartet was pivotal to the club’s biggest achievement in recent history.

Aesthetically and nostalgically pleasing, such is the quality of the mural that Gary McAllister might be left a little disappointed after the artist even managed to pencil in on McAllister’s premature bald spot rather brilliantly.
