Pic: Sunday Mirror’s player ratings has not gone down well with the Leeds United fans

Pierre Michel-Lasogga announced himself to the Leeds United faithful in a spectacular fashion after scoring a brace on his debut as Leeds ran rampant at Elland Road on Saturday. The Whites finished comfortable 5-0 winners against Burton Albion as they moved to second in the Championship standings.

On what was a perfect weekend for all those associated with Leeds, the only blemish perhaps was the post match player ratings published on the Sunday Mirror. Despite Leeds seemingly outclassing Burton Albion in all departments, that did not seem enough for the paper as they dished out measly ratings of 6 out of 10 for the majority of the Leeds line-up.

Quite how the Sunday Mirror came up with such ratings defies common logic and needless to say, the Leeds fans were quite miffed by the incident with many venting their frustrations out on social media.

8 Burton players were on par with most of Leeds’ team apparently, check out the ratings below –

  1. Burton muster “1” shot in the entire game & their players mainly get 6’s just like the Leeds United players?????

Something clearly wrong here – do you give players 6’s for just walking out onto the pitch????

You need to review your football ratings big time or your reporter has an clear Anti-Leeds policy & needs to be replaced NOW.

Disgraceful assessment.. I need an answer to the above, thank you

  2. The Sunday Mirror ratings of the Leeds United v Burton match are an absolute disgrace and show their reporting to be totally unprofessional. What is the purpose of this incorrect rating, it shows the reporter has no knowledge of the actual game. Answers please next Sunday!
