(Video) Arsenal fans loved every bit of this backheel slide-pass from Jack Wilshere during Koln win

Jack Wilshere’s persistent injury issues might have seen him out of action for most parts of last season, but his return to the Emirates was nothing short of remarkable.

The 25-year-old wore an Arsenal shirt for the first time since August 2016 when they faced German side FC Koln in the Europa League encounter on Thursday.

Coming on for Alex Iwobi in the 68th minute, Wilshere provided some much-needed flair to Arsenal’s attacking endeavors, especially when his clever dummy proved instrumental in Bellerin’s late goal.

Several rumours doing rounds in the media currently suggest that the midfielder could be sold by Arsenal soon, possibly in the January transfer window itself.

But a look at Wilshere’s overall performance along with one particularly brilliant flick during a moment in the game proves just why Arsene Wenger should be patient with his recovery.

Needless to say, Arsenal fans loved every bit of the skill on display from the Englishman. Watch Jack Wilshere’s filthy backheel slide-pass below –

  1. It shd read fans love it if Arsenal start winning. Fortunately the gunners won.
Had they lost there will be loud noises,
To cut the story shirt, the gunners shd aim to win not playing pretty to win.
This goes against the FM’s philosophy of winning in style.
How many teams can do that. Its better to win ugly. If Arsenal park the bus/cruise ship at Sb and won who cares. If not the gunners will continue to lose the big games despite playing good football.
