The Carabao Cup: Leicester City vs Liverpool

Preview

Leicester City takes on Liverpool at the King Power Stadium Tuesday night when the third round of the Carabao Cup resumes (The EFL Cup). Both the teams will be hoping for a turnaround in their form after having failed to register a win in any of their last three games.

The Foxes though will be the more confident side as they were able to score 4 goals past Sheffield United in the second round of the competition. Manager Craig Shakespeare is likely to rest striker Jamy Vardy and Matty James following their injuries. Shakespeare is also expected to hand a start to Islam Slimani, Ahmed Musa, and Demarai Gray after doing so in the previous League Cup outing.

Liverpool is in middle of an extremely busy September and Jurgen Klopp is almost certain to rotate his side substantially for the mid-week game. Klopp already confirmed that Dany Ward, Marko Grujic, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are set to start, while Dominic Solanke is highly likely to get a chance on the squad.
